Terms of Service
The terms that apply when a customer orders, activates or uses CallAnswer247.
Effective date: 2 October 2026
CallAnswer247 is a trading name of Garreth Taylor Enterprizes (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2020/124358/07.
1. Supplier and agreement
These Terms of Service govern the CallAnswer247 service supplied by Garreth Taylor Enterprizes (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2020/124358/07, trading as CallAnswer247. Our address is Vredekloof Road, Cape Town, 7560, South Africa, our email is admin@callanswer247.com and our telephone number is 021 891 4394.
By ordering, activating or using the service, the customer agrees to these terms. A person accepting them for a business confirms that they have authority to bind that business. The service is intended for customers legally able to enter into this agreement in the Republic of South Africa.
2. The service and automated receptionist
CallAnswer247 provides an automated telephone receptionist and call-answering service configured around customer-supplied information and instructions. It may answer routine questions, collect caller details, attempt transfers, take messages and, where included and configured, assist with appointments.
The receptionist is automated and must not be represented as a human receptionist. Calls may be processed in real time to understand and respond to callers. Calls are not routinely recorded at launch. Call details, messages, transfer outcomes and appointment information may be retained. Future call recording is inactive unless separately enabled with suitable configuration and disclosure.
3. Telephone numbers and call forwarding
A customer may use a new dedicated CallAnswer247 number or keep its existing business number and activate call forwarding to CallAnswer247. The customer’s current telephone provider may charge for forwarded calls. Those provider charges are separate from CallAnswer247 fees, and the customer should confirm them before enabling forwarding.
4. Onboarding and customer instructions
The customer must provide complete, accurate and current business details, operating hours, greetings, FAQs, transfer destinations, message recipients and other call-handling instructions. The customer is responsible for the lawfulness and suitability of its instructions and for promptly updating them. CallAnswer247 may rely on the information supplied and may pause or limit configuration where instructions are incomplete, unsafe, unlawful or technically impractical.
5. Package selection and activation
The customer selects a package according to expected call volume and workflow. A package is activated only after required onboarding information, commercial arrangements and service configuration have been completed and CallAnswer247 confirms activation. Selecting a package or submitting information does not by itself activate the service.
6. Packages and fees
- Starter: R699 per month, including 100 service minutes.
- Growth: R1 875 per month, including 500 service minutes.
- Pro: R3 495 per month, including 1 000 service minutes.
- Enterprise: monthly pricing, service-minute allowance and additional usage are quoted according to the customer’s requirements.
Additional service minutes for Starter, Growth and Pro are charged at R2.95 per minute. No VAT is currently charged. If CallAnswer247 becomes required to charge VAT, it will provide the notice and tax documentation required by law.
7. Service minutes
A service minute starts when the CallAnswer247 receptionist answers and ends when the call ends. It includes conversation time, transfer attempts and connected transfers. Included minutes reset monthly and do not roll over.
8. Billing and payment
Monthly subscription fees are payable monthly in advance. Additional service-minute usage and other agreed charges are billed separately. The applicable invoice or written order will state the payment method and due date. The customer must keep its billing information current and pay all undisputed amounts when due. Nothing in these terms activates a payment method that has not been separately made available and agreed.
9. Package changes, cancellation and refunds
A customer may ask to change package. The change is subject to confirmation and may take effect from the next billing period or another agreed date. Technical or commercial assessment may be required where the new package changes routing, calendars, integrations or volume.
The service is month to month unless a written order states otherwise. The customer may cancel before the next billing date by giving notice to admin@callanswer247.com. Cancellation takes effect before the next billing period once confirmed. Fees for a billing period in which service has started are not refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
10. Overdue payments, suspension and termination
CallAnswer247 may suspend affected services after reasonable notice where an undisputed amount is overdue, where use creates a security or legal risk, or where the customer materially breaches these terms. Either party may terminate for a material breach that is not remedied within a reasonable period after written notice, or immediately where the breach cannot reasonably be remedied, continued service would be unlawful, or insolvency law permits. Suspension or termination does not remove amounts already due.
11. Acceptable use
The customer must not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, threatening or discriminatory activity; unsolicited bulk communications; harassment; impersonation; infringement of rights; collection of information without a lawful basis; interference with systems or security; emergency-service substitution; or instructions that breach law, provider rules or these terms. The customer must protect account access and promptly report suspected misuse.
12. WhatsApp fair usage
WhatsApp fair usage covers normal operational messages arising from calls handled through the service. It excludes bulk or marketing messages, imported or unrelated traffic, abnormal automated volume, abusive use and traffic that breaches applicable rules or provider terms. Where use falls outside fair usage, CallAnswer247 may contact the customer, restrict the affected feature, or propose a separately priced configuration. No numeric allowance is created by this clause.
13. Optional integrations
CRM, webhook, custom calendar and other custom integrations are not included automatically. They are subject to technical and commercial assessment, may involve separate fees and third-party charges, and require written agreement. Their operation also depends on the relevant provider’s availability, access permissions and terms.
14. Availability and dependencies
CallAnswer247 takes reasonable steps to provide a reliable service, but availability and successful outcomes depend on telecommunications networks, internet connectivity, hosting, software, third-party platforms, the customer’s systems and accurate customer instructions. Calls may fail, transfers may be unanswered and third-party functions may be delayed or unavailable. CallAnswer247 does not guarantee uninterrupted service, successful call completion, a particular business outcome or that every enquiry will be resolved.
15. Customer monitoring and cooperation
The customer must monitor service activity, messages, usage, routing and account access, test important configurations, and tell CallAnswer247 promptly about errors, changed information or suspected incidents. The customer remains responsible for following up with callers, responding to messages and appointments, maintaining its own business records and having reasonable continuity arrangements.
16. Confidentiality and intellectual property
Each party must protect the other’s non-public business information and use it only for the agreement, except where disclosure is authorised or required by law. This duty does not apply to information lawfully public, independently developed or already known without restriction.
Each party retains ownership of its pre-existing materials and intellectual property. The customer permits CallAnswer247 to use supplied content, names and instructions only as reasonably necessary to configure and provide the service. CallAnswer247 retains rights in its platform, processes, software, documentation and service materials.
17. Privacy and POPIA
Each party must comply with applicable data-protection law. The customer is responsible for the lawfulness, accuracy and appropriateness of the caller-processing instructions and business information it supplies. CallAnswer247 may act as the customer’s operator for caller data processed under those instructions and is independently responsible for account, billing, website-enquiry, security and support data. The Privacy Policy and POPIA Processing Notice provide further information.
18. Liability and indemnity
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings. CallAnswer247’s aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees paid by the customer for the affected service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
The customer indemnifies CallAnswer247 against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising directly from the customer’s unlawful instructions, supplied content, misuse of the service or material breach of these terms, except to the extent caused by CallAnswer247’s own breach, negligence or unlawful conduct.
19. Events beyond reasonable control
Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including network or utility failure, widespread platform outages, natural events, civil disruption, labour action, government action or cyber incidents not caused by that party’s failure to take reasonable safeguards. The affected party must take reasonable steps to limit the impact and resume performance.
20. Service changes and notices
CallAnswer247 may make reasonable service changes for security, legal, technical or operational reasons. Material changes affecting the customer will be communicated where reasonably possible. We may update these terms prospectively and will give reasonable notice of material changes. Notices may be sent to the email address on the account; notices to CallAnswer247 must be sent to admin@callanswer247.com. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
21. South African law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The parties should first try in good faith to resolve a complaint through written discussion. A customer may contact admin@callanswer247.com with sufficient detail for investigation. If the matter is not resolved, either party may use the courts or another dispute process available under applicable South African law.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. These terms, the applicable order or package confirmation, and incorporated policies form the agreement for the service unless the parties sign a separate written agreement.
